Musical additions to The Elder Scrolls III - Morrowind

Explore:

Torture

Download 'Torture'

A soothing but sorrowful piece that makes for a nice bit of explore music.

The Teacher

Download 'The Teacher'

A rigid explore tune that reminds me of old Russian music. Could just be me, though.

Dark Forest

Download 'Dark Forest'

I made the theme for this 10 years ago (seriously!) for a story that I've been working on for even longer. Somehow, the file survived my many moves, and I've been inspired by recent events to finally finish it! It's a fun piece that would make an excellent explore tune.

Thunder

Download 'Thunder'

This reminds me of a quick summer thunder shower, which are especially nice in Morrowind. Props to the weather man.

Sorrow and Hope
Waiting
No One Else

Download 'Sorrow and Hope'
Download 'Waiting'
Download 'No One Else'

PIANO! This is a sonata for Morrowind, which starts out really simple and gets better with each movement. I really wish my keyboard could connect to this PC, but apparently it's too old and beat up. Plus I don't think I can play nearly as well as I used to, so I had to write these by hand.

The Sleepy Guar and the Happy Mudcrab

Download 'The Sleepy Guar and the Happy Mudcrab'

This is a silly, slow moving piece that reminds me of seeing a wandering guar, looking like he wants to find a place to curl up and take a nap while a giddy mudcrab comes along to annoy the poor guar. It's simple (as if any of my tunes are terribly complex) and plays nicely in the background. WARNING: It's also a bit catchy, and you may find yourself whistling parts of it.

The Lonely Road

Download 'The Lonely Road'

Sometimes walking the grand countryside can be a bit lonely. This, I think, conveys that feeling.

The Sinking of Boethiah

Download 'The Sinking of Boethiah'

Probably my last update for a while. This is about the sinking of the Shrine of Boethiah near Hla Oad. Imagine the confusion, chaos, and sadness as it slowly sinks into the water. It really sounds familiar, though... I wish I could place the tune. Oh well, I hope you enjoy it!

Miscellaneous:

I'm Going Home

Download 'I'm Going Home'

May be okay as an explore tune, but I think it would be good for something specific, like a completed quest.

Triumph

Download 'Triumph'

This is a powerful piece that begins slow and ends with a nice triumphant feel. If the beginning wasn't so slow, it could be battle music, but as it is, I think it needs its own place. I think I may need to fix the flutes...

-INSTALLATION-
Simply place the desired mp3 into the corresponding folder that lies within in the the Data Files\Music folder. For example, if Morrowind is installed to the default location and you wanted Torture as an explore tune, you would put Torture.mp3 in the following folder:

C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Morrowind\Data Files\Music\Explore

There is no need to rename the file, although you may wish to do so in order to stick with their naming scheme.
